I think you could find lots of the same info files Salmon if you browse http://db.etree.org/ by source.

Go to Grateful Dead and the date(s) you want and you might find the info sheet for the recording you have there. MD5's are also available for download there.

Thanks Diana and Uncle John.
My blind spot was looking for the etree numbers (shnids) on the page itself, where it used to be as part of the data file names. It can still be found in the details page's url in the browser tool/status bar.
Of course it would still be convenient if that text file were eventually restored to the archive page. I realize there are bigger fish to fry.
